Grades Kā8: Aligned Literacy Intervention
Professional Learning Workshop
Learn explicit strategies to improve literacy for all learners
Design lessons to help all students succeed
This workshop will dispell common misconceptions about dyslexia, dysgraphia, and developmental language disorder as educators explore universal design principles and the taxonomy of intervention intensity. Participants will learn to interpret literacy assessments in order to target instruction, all while providing supports for multilingual and bidialectal learners and harnessing their strengths. Finally, educators will practice integrating evidence-aligned supports into their current literacy block.
Learn about the differences between developmental language disorder (DLD) and dyslexia, and why using the right terminology across different settings is so important.
